EgRC National Resuscitation Championship 2026

The Egyptian Resuscitation Council proudly presents the EgRC National Resuscitation Championship 2026, an exciting nationwide medical competition launched as part of the Silver Jubilee Celebration – 25 Years of Excellence.

Held alongside the 1st EgRC Conference, this championship is designed to bring together healthcare teams from across Egypt in a dynamic and highly competitive environment focused on lifesaving skills, teamwork, leadership, and emergency preparedness.

The championship aims to highlight excellence in resuscitation practice while promoting collaboration, rapid decision-making, and clinical performance under pressure. Participating teams will demonstrate their abilities in realistic emergency and critical care scenarios, reflecting the highest standards of modern resuscitation training.

Competition Structure

The championship consists of two main phases:

Phase 1 – Regional Qualifications

Pre-conference qualifying rounds will be conducted across multiple Egyptian cities, including:

  • Alexandria
  • Cairo
  • Mansoura

Teams competing in the regional rounds will be evaluated on:

  • CPR quality and resuscitation performance
  • Crisis resource management
  • Team communication and leadership
  • Clinical decision-making under pressure
  • Adherence to international resuscitation guidelines

Phase 2 – Grand Finale

The final competition will take place during the conference itself, where the top-performing teams from all regional qualifications will compete live in front of conference delegates and expert judges.

Championship Awards

The competition offers significant national recognition and prestigious awards:

  • 1st Place: 30,000 EGP
  • 2nd Place: 20,000 EGP
  • 3rd Place: 10,000 EGP

Special recognition awards will also be presented for:

  • Best Team Leader
  • Best CPR Performance
  • Excellence in Crisis Communication

Event Theme

This theme reflects the spirit of collaboration, preparedness, and shared commitment to saving lives through high-quality resuscitation education and teamwork.

Medical Team Registration Requirements

  1. Teams must be registered under the name of the hospital or affiliated institution they represent.
  2. Each team must consist of 5 to 6 members, including a Team Leader (must be a physician).
    The team must also include one or two qualified nursing staff members, and should represent different specialties to manage various emergency cases and injuries.
  3. The Team Leader will also serve as the team coordinator and will be responsible for communication with the judging and organizing committees of the competition.
  4. Please note that the registered team members will represent the final official team roster. However, at least two substitute members must also be registered in case of any emergency affecting one of the main participants.
  5. During registration, all team information and qualifications of physicians and nursing staff must be submitted.
    • All physician members must hold a valid ALS (Advanced Life Support) certification.
    • All nursing members must hold a valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  6. Final acceptance of the team will only be confirmed after complete registration of all team members in the conference. Participation of unregistered members will not be allowed.
  7. All teams are required to wear a unified medical uniform during the competition.
  8. Further details regarding competition stages and qualification rounds will be announced later.
  9. The deadline for registration submissions is 15 July 2026.
